K SPORTS SOCCER IS AN EXCITING NEW ACADEMY LED BY DARREN HARE, DOVER ATHLETIC COACH & FORMER GILLINGHAM ACADEMY MANAGER AND ANDY HESSENTHALER, EX PROFESSIONAL PLAYER AND CURRENT DOVER ATHLETIC HEAD COACH

Our Performance Academy provides selected young players with the opportunity to progress into representative football. Our Academy is perfect for self motivated players, who have similar desire and attitudes of both Darren and Andy, to training and games. Using over 20 years experience developing some of Kent’s talented young players, K Sports Soccer guarantee to do our utmost to help young players fulfil their potential. We have many, many contacts in the game but we will only recommend the very talented and most dedicated. That could be you!

Some exciting changes will be taking place from September 2018 for our Elite Performance Academy:
The Academy will be streamed into two sections, one intermediate level program and one advanced. This will mean players will be placed in the appropriate level for their current ability, and our main aim will always be to stretch and challenge players across both environments. We shall be differentiating the players’ environment to maximise their potential- based on ability rather than age. Players will be assessed every 12 weeks formally and players will change sections on the back of these. The challenge for your child will be to aspire to be an advanced centre player and work hard to stay in there, or work hard in the intermediate section to be recommended to be moved up!

Talent ID representatives will be invited down on a regular basis to come and see the players perform.

Players are invited to come down and trial, free of charge, on Friday 7 September at the following times:

5.30 – 7.00 pm for those in Years 2 – 6 as from September 2018
7.00 – 8.30 pm for those in Years 7 – 11 as from September 2018

Along with our elite performance stands, we recognise the importance of providing structured and enjoyable participation opportunities for children. Our aim is to ensure that children get the best possible start to becoming involved in football.

Soccer Tots sessions, for players aged 4 – 7, are fun, based around ball familiarity / manipulation, small sided games and the fundamentals of movement. There is no pressure and we provide an environment where children can express themselves freely and grow in self-confidence. There may be the opportunity to progress to our Elite Performance Academy.

The sessions are available to any player irrespective of their club. The first session is free following which the cost will be £5.50 per session.
